Where
you are: Tracking
Marketing Responses Say that you have a special offer or information for potential customers. You have a description of the offer on your website. You announce this offer in a slew of marketing through direct-mail, magazine ads, e-mail and your home page. How will you know if people who take advantage of the offer found out about the offer on your home page, in an e-mail, through your ad or through your direct-mail? Very simply actually. The key is to create several versions of the information
page and to give each a unique file name. Use one of these to link from
your home page, use one's address in your e-mails, use one in your ad
and use one in your direct-mail. Why? If they're basically the same, why
do that? Because you can track, through server reports, how many people
visited each of the four pages. You'll be able to tell which of the marketing
campaigns is pulling in the most interest. It's a cheap and easy way to
track where your marketing responses are coming from. Tip: Affordable Graphic Design classes are available near you? Sign up for FREE information from top design schools. Some Links You May Find Useful
