All the Newsgroups Aren't Fit to Print
Lwoman reading paperike chat rooms, there are a ton of newsgroups that discuss most every subject under the sun. Unlike chat however, one doesn't need to be present to be part of an ongoing conversation. Huh? Well, I'll explain what I mean.

Newsgroups are a series of messages that are left by individuals that are interested in sharing information about a certain subject. If you find a newsgroup area of interest , you can check out the articles or comments that have been started by others or start your own "thread" of articles and comments. You can write in response to what others have said, offer an opinion or share some new information entirely. Others can respond to your message if they choose and leave a message of their own. It's like an ongoing conversation that can take weeks or months but the nice thing is that you don't have to be there to take part.

Often you can request to be e-mailed automatically when someone posts a response to one of your messages. This is very helpful if you're requesting a particular piece of information from other viewers.slug
