Standard Font Characters
How does a designer create a copyright symbol or a trademark symbol in their documents? They're not on my keyboard?! It's not a big typesetting secret but, instead, just a combination of keyboard keys. Not a big deal, unless you don't know what they are.

Below are the standard font characters and their key combinations. Many fonts follow this standard but some manufacturers do not include all of the characters in their fonts. (Results may vary, void where prohibited by law and all that jazz.) To achieve some of the accent marks, you need to press the key combination of the mark and then the letter that you want it to be over.
